A member asked:

I'm a 30 year old female that visited a chiropractor who did an xray. he noticed that i had a lot of calcification on my ribs, but said that it was fine. i had a recent physical and labs (cbc and metabolic panell) and they were ok. is this normal?

Sounds unimportant!: Any history of injury explaining the calcifications or calcifications elsewhere?

Costal arches: Ribs are normally heavily calcified. Costal arches are the cartilages that join the bony ribs to the breastbone. These calcify variably as we get older and it means nothing. You sound fine.

Calcification : This is not unusual and should cause no long-standing problems
