Mgt: There may be a local contact dermatitis. I would recommend an over the counter baby eczema cream and using a soap such as Dove to keep the area clean. If there are any blisters, drainage or pus, please see your PCP. DId the rash appear with use of Flovent?

Unrelated: Perioral dermatitis is a germ infection triggered when the moist conditions around the mouth create conditions where the germs can invade. The germs come from the kids contaminated fingers or objects they mouthe.The inhaler itself would gain germs off the kids fingers.Antibiotic lotion is a common & effective treatment.It has none of the internal effects of oral or injected antibiotics.
