Labor Epidural?: This may not be related to the actual Epidural itself. If this were a labor epidural and you gave birth in stirrups, and your legs were flexed at the hip for any length of time, while under the effect of the epidural this may very well be a result of that flexed position. Especially if the numbness is just on the one side. It should get better with time. If no improvement in 10 days see your OB.

Not much concern: If numbness is all that you have only in a particular area after an epidural, I am not overly concerned. This is likely due to nerve irritation that occurred at the time the epidural needle and medication was placed. Nerves when irritated or injured are easy to show this by giving a person numbness. That is what happens with funny elbow. Numbness also take the longest to recover but likely will.
