Absolutely: The local anesthetic used can do it. The needle used for the injection can hit a nerve. If it doesn't go away see the doctor that did the epidural injection.

Yes: The local anesthetic that is used in the epidural solution can go down one of the nerve roots and make your leg numb. This is why one you have an epidural we don't want you getting out of bed without help. This is temporary and resolves with time.
