Today, i experienced a sudden stabbing pain in my throat when i swallowed. i do not have a sore throat, and a i was not eating anything. the pain is around the back right side of my adam's apple. every time i swallow, it feels like hitting a nerve. ?

Difficult to say: for sure without examination. Depending on severity of pain, you shoujld get to your doctor asap, even though it might not seem serious.
