Tonsils can: sometimes grow back and cause problems. Sounds like you are being treated properly by specialists.

Lingual Tonsils: are in fact a DIFFERENT SETY of tonsils than the lymphoid tissue usually referred to as Tonsils and are often removed in childhood!!! Rather they are the smaller "tonsils" Way down at the origin (base) of your tongue! They can become infected just like regular tonsils See Diagram Hope this helps! Dr Z
