This should: be evaluated by your child's Pediatrician..it may not be a swollen lymph gland rather a CYST (embryological remnants of certain types can be seen in the necks of young children...("Branchial Cleft" Cysts) Hope this is helpful Dr Z

Glands: there are las in the occipital region . tHESE ARE NORMAL. AS LONG AS the Lns are not multiple rubbery and painless, be reassures. solitary Lns , < 1 cm in size , mobile and non tender in a 2 yr old is most likely norma. See your doctor if concerns as they can examine the child for any other Lymphadenopathy .
