5month old baby, fever ranging from 38c to 39c. we found 2 swollen lumps at the back of the neck soft to touch but seems painful. how do we treat?

Depends: Low to mid range fever is both common at that age & causes range from simple viruses to ear infections & more. If the kid seems happy/feeds well & plays some when the fever is down simple comfort measures at home are fine. If the kid doesn't take fluids well enough to pee every 6 hrs/seems lethargic or otherwise spooks you take it in for an exam.
