You could be: "overcompensating" to AVOID pain on the same side as the tear.( A major symptom of Peroneus Brevis tear is pain on walking! Apply ICE to both sides of your ankle prior to activity and wear good ankle supporting shoes (Until this is dealt with via surgery) Hope this helps! Dr Z
