Viral infection : This sounds like a typical viral infection. Take regular Tylenol and Nurofen and use salt water gargles for the sore throats and your symptoms should subside. If symptoms continue to worsen you need to see your GP for throat swabs and possibly antibiotics. If the headache and stiff neck are significant symptoms then you should be going to see your doctor to ensure it is not meningitis.
