Could be seizures: Did yuo dad have a good MRI test done with and without contrast. Does he have a neurologist or a specialist in trauma seeing him? The neurologist should be able to tell you if your dad is having seizures. Some changes from a concussion are not well seen on mri. You might need a special test called diffusion tensor imaging but this is not done in many places. You can look up tbi.

Types of seizures: There are a couple types of seizures that could be like this. A head injury lead to seizures, and some seizures do not require loss of awareness. Normally these cause tingling or shaking on one side of the body. They are called partial seizures. There is also something called a nonepileptic seizure that does not interfere with awareness.
