Seizure: Did you lose consciousness when you fell, before striking the,was?. Was there evidence of tongue biting or urinary incontinence? Did you appear to be overly drowsy or somewhat confused following the event? These are the usual observations when we suspect someone has had a seizure. Symptoms of concussion can be headache, lightheadedness, visual or balance disorders after the head trauma.

Yes: Yes they can. As you are implying, a concussion would usually have had to have some type of injury before it occurred. Don't hesitate to be seen and thoroughly evaluated.
