A member asked:

Chances of having seizures after a mild concussion?had one 2months ago.started drinking alcohol, not often, 4drinks a weekstill scared it might hurt me?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Increased chance : There is an increased risk of seizures after significant head trauma. You should see a neurologist and have an eeg and possibly mri. Concussion can lead to cellular level damage that takes a long time to heal. Drinking is not recommended during the process of healing. Neuropsychiatric testing may identify areas of impairment that will need to be accommodated until you heal.
