A member asked:

I was in a car accident 6 weeks a go and suffered compression fractures on t11 and t12. is it normal to still be in pain?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: It can take months for that to improve. Rarely someone could have chronic pain develop from this. Usual treatment for these (thousands in our group): wear a brace for three months with x-rays and then to obtain final upright x-rays at three months out of the brace (often with bending the spine views also) to make sure no abnormal alignment has developed that may need surgery, which is rare.
