Apply pressure: Finger injuries tend to bleed quite profusely for a while as they have a lot of blood vessels supplying the area. The best way to stop the bleeding would be applying constant pressure directly on the knuckle and elevating the hand for about 20 min. You can cover the wound with a pressure dressing once the wound has stopped bleeding.
