The most likely: explanation comes in your third sentence: "Weather is a little colder." Typically, as temperatures drop in fall/winter, windows are closed, heat is turned on and the resulting air is dry. Perhaps you are a bit of a mouth breather..the dry air is likely causing some throat irritation.
