Every year when the weather gets dry, my throat gets irritated. what differs this year, i see 5 red bumps in the back of my throat. i have no other symptoms and haven't been around others, so i ruled out major issues. could it still be allergies?

The best way to diagnose what these red bumps are would be to have a doctor look at them. It is difficult to diagnose this without seeing them. It could certainly be due to seasonal allergies but there are other possibilities as well. The throat irritation itself could result in areas of redness. An ear nose and throat doctor could diagnose this and suggest treatment, if needed. Good luck!
