Highly unlikely.: Giant cell arteritis is very unusual in teenagers and would be low in considering causes of headaches or head tenderness. A good history and physical and some basic blood tests should eliminate the concern. See your doctor.

Giant cell arteritis: or temporal arteritis, was used to be called the arteritis of the aged, you need the be above 50, and meet other criteria for diagnosis, not what you described, best wishes
