Temporal arteritis has symptoms-typically headaches, not feeling well in general, etc. Bulging blood vessels without any other symptoms would not likely be temporal arteritis. The sedimentation rate is usually increased as well. A biopsy of the artery is done to confirm the diagnosis. See a doctor if you think the diagnosis is possible to have bloodwork done. Good luck!

If your sole concern is intermittent arterial bulging in the absence of pain and local tenderness, your diagnosis is NOT temporal arteritis. You might inquire about the effect of emotional stress, periodic straining, and tension.
