A member asked:

After endoscopy, dx was acute chronic gastritis.... i'm confused, i thought acute and chronic were opposite, therefore how can my dx be both?

You have both: signs of chronic inflammation (typically scarring) and acute inflammation (redness or swelling or bleeding) so you have had it for some time, there is some damage and there is ongoing irritation so you will still need treatment.
