Nocturnal dorsalgia: Knowing what caused the back pain at such a young age would be helpful. It is likely due to a musculo-ligamentous / myofascial etiology. A better medical history, review of systems, physical examination & x-ray are generally needed in case of chronic back pain. Proper posture & egronimcs, specific stretching and core strengthening maneuvers may help. Changing a mattress may help as well.

Time to see a doctor: See your primary, a physiatrist, or orthopedic surgeon and get some answers. The cure may be as simple as physical therapy. Why wait?
