Sitting back pain: Sitting is the worst for the back... Our discs do not seem to do well while we sit, as the load on our spine is the highest in that position... Try to get up every 45-60mins and stretch... Do core exercises and maybe change the position you work in every so many hours... Changes in position are probably best for you....

Sedentary back pain.: Prolonged sitting can lead to significantly more pressure at the lumbar intervertebral discs than any other position. See your doctor for diagnosis and treatment.
