I've been having bad lower back pain first thing in the morning when i wake up. i have to roll out of bed and can't stand up straight or walk without severe pain. after about 10 mins i can walk normally but still have a dull ache all day?

Potentially, appears like a facet impingement syndrome, or sacroiliac dysfunction, but without an exam or appropriate imaging, not feasible to be precise. See your doctor, and have an evaluation, as blood tests and Xrays would likely answer etiology. Physical therapy might be considered, but depends on the diagnosis.

Just take Ibuprofen OTC 200 mg x 2-3 tablets with foods every 6-8 hours as needed for a couple days. Initially, you should avoid the movements, e.g. certain exercise or activity, which exacerbate the pain. Most of the time, pain should get better after 2-3 days. Sleeping on a hard surface or firm mattress is also helpful. If there is no improvement after 5-7 days, you should see a doctor by then.
