Probably unrelated: Bad breath is usually a hygiene issue, but not often a sign of a transmissible infection. Kissing always risks colds, influenza, etc -- and a could could act like sinusitis. This isn't a reason to stop seeing her. However, it would be a kindness to sensitively discuss her bad breath with her, and perhaps recommend medical evaluation.

Sinus Infection: It is possible you caught an infection from your lady friend, but it is also possible you caught it somewhere else. Bad breath can be caused by many different factors, some of which are not transmittable. Seeing her for future endeavors is your choice... if your attraction is mutual and you like her company, why not? She did not purposely try to make you sick, right? All the best...
