Will penicillin vk 500 mg twice daily treat bad sinus infection ? i took amoxicillin 4 times last year and amox-clav once this year for strep. will the penicillin work or could the bacteria i have be resistant ? what do to recommend ?

You will need to determine if the sinus infection is viral or bacterial in nature. If viral, antibiotics will have no effect. Taking antibiotics needlessly is not recommended. You may want to seek testing from your physician.

You need to be tested to discover the best treatment. It will probably be Augmentin. If you have not used Penicillin for a long time it might prove effective.
