Tendonitis: Achilles area pain often is tendonitis. If the tendon is tender to the touch, esp. more than the opposite side, then it's probably the Achilles. Consider causes (exercise, poor footwear, etc.) and try to avoid exacerbating factors. Rest, ice, a short-course of NSAIDs, better shoes would be considerations.
