Panic and Ativan (lorazepam): It sounds like you're not ready to wean from Ativan (lorazepam) just yet, if already having bad panic attacks. There are much better and less habit-forming medicines for panic than ativan (lorazepam), (lorazepam) although it certainly can help with acute anxiety. Many antidepressants also have anti-anxiety/anti-panic affects, and would be safer -- & then you could taper your ativan (lorazepam). Please see a psychiatrist about this.
