No effect: This will not cause cataract nor will it help you if you have cataract. The only documented risk other than inherited forms is sunlight.

Manuka honey: It may help with skin infections and wound healing in some pts but no studies indicate it helps prevent cataracts. More info Eyedoc2020.blogspot.com
