A member asked:

My 2 year old daughter has a wbc of 17.19 and a segs count of 56%. she has had major bruise like rash and joint pain. is this normal?

Possible HSP: You have given very limited symptoms, so it's very difficult to make any diagnosis with certainty. That being said, I'm suspicious of a condition called HSP, which is characterized by purpuric rash (especially on lower legs and butt), joint pains, GI symptoms. Could also be other bacterial causes as WBC is a bit elevated, but normal seg percentage l Needs evaluation by a pediatrician asap
