Probably not: As you rightly state, these symptoms are most consistent with a viral infection. No antibiotic has any effect on any virus, only against bacteria. Typical cold symptoms and minimal fever like yours do not suggest bacteria. Unless and until your doctor thinks it is likely you have a bacterial infection, you should not take any antibiotic and your doctor should not prescribe one.
