A member asked:

Twitching bodywide 16 months. emg clean (only fascias) at 12 months. clean clinical at 15 months. told bfs by neuro at 15 months. can it still be als?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It's always possible: It is impossible to 'exclude' a diagnosis - and even if you don't have ALS now you could still start to develop it next week. Having said that, if you have not developed any muscle weakness after 16 months then it is very unlikely that the fasciculations are a manifestation of ALS - your neurologist's suggestion of it being cramp fasciculation syndrome is much more likely.
