? treatment ?: One tenet of medicine is when the treatment is not working the diagnosis (or treatment) is likely wrong.If your ear canal is swollen, you should be on some form of ear drops. If you have been taking oral meds, it would likely never help.Seek a 2nd opinion.

Just saw dr.to see if ear infection was really gone after 2nd round antibiotics or if I needed a longer dose...she seemed confused. Said ear wasnt red and no fluid...but eardrum is opaque? Does this mean that my infection is gone or not?
It feels like something crawling in my ear and like there is fluid stuck in there but I have been seen by my Dr several times for this and every time they say they don't see anything or there is fluid behind the eardrum and give me an antibiotic.
Used 3% concentrated perox in ear, doc said impacted wax on eardrum and gave me prescription eardrops for 4 days. How long before muffled hearing gone?
