Metabolism... )o:: Metabolism refers to how our bodies break down and use the food we eat, and actually has to do with a bunch of different factors, including physical activity, current body weight and body composition (seems unfair but muscular people metabolize quicker than other people do), and genetic predisposition. Also certain endocrine problems (like thyroid, adrenal, diabetes...) can affect metabolism.
