See your doctor : It may be that you have an inflammation in the fluid sac surrounding the hip (bursitis) but if your whole leg and foot is swollen you really need to go and see a doctor as soon as possible please.

Just a thought: It might just be a TROCHANTERIC BURSITIS which can appear very swollen... This is diagnosed (usually) by an examination by a Health Care Professional..and/or an ORTHOPEDIC specialist who can INJECT it with a steroid to reduce the inflammation Hope this helps! Dr Z
