Dentists say to floss those teeth you want to keep. in general, how many times a day should this be done?

At least once...: ... twice if you have the time, patience, and a dentition that easily traps food and bacteria (malpositioned teeth). Fastidious brushing is also necessary, especially if you have periodontal issues.

Flossing: At least once per day, preferably twice and ideally every time after you eat. If only once, best time is before you go sleep.

Smart Dentist: For most people once daily, before brushing at night, is sufficient. Some people require more frequent flossing, but never less than once daily. Check with your Dentist for frequency recommendation tailored to your personal situation.
