If you're experiencing true acid reflux it's probably more effective to switch to the ppi class of medications like prilosec or nexium (esomeprazole). Don't forget to avoid alcohol,caffeine,nicotine or highly spicey foods. If symptoms persist, consult a gastroenterologist for accurate diagnosis and treatment.
