My doctor prescribed me ranitidine 500mg for my acid reflux. one pill before bedtime. is that dose too high? i was going to get zantac 150mg instead.

Ranitidine dosage: Ranitidine/Zantac is the same drug. The former is the generic name. They come in 150mg and 300 mg pills. So it would be difficult to get 500 mg at a time. Call the doctor's office to clear up the confusion.
