Hydrocephalus: Fetal hydrocephalus is about one per thousand births, if you have had a child with hydrocephalus you are at increased risk but having said that it is still a low risk unless a genetic pattern was detected.

Fairly low: Apart from x-linked hydrocephalus (recurrence risk 50% of males) congenital hydrocephalus is mostly multifactorial. Couples with a previously affected child have a recurrence risk of 4%. Hydrocephalus is most commonly associated with neural tube defects. Folic acid supplementation before and during pregnancy has been shown to significantly reduce the risk. Good luck.
