Increased risk: The HPV e7/e7 RNA test is a relatively new test to help predict which women with ASCUS Paps are at an increased risk for developing Cervical Cancer. It in no way implies that you have cervical cancer. More traditionally a High Risk HPV DNA test is performed with a PAP. Based on result, you will need a Colposcopy procedure to better evaluate your cervix.

Not really: It sounds like you would benefit from a follow study called Colposcopy. Basically, more/definitive information is needed. The Pap smear is a SCREENING test; kind of like a mammogram. In order to know what's going on at the tissue level, a DIAGNOSTIC study is warranted (e.g. Colposcopy). Get with your Gynecologist ASAP.
