I have started getting chest pains and i visited a er friday evening. the tests that they took all came back good. could it be something mental?

Yes and no: Mental isn't a good description anxiety is a better description however you should rule in what is causing your pain. CP isn't always from the heart which is likely what was checked, other causes acid reflux, hernias , infections, anxiety etc. I would speak to your primary and get an overall checkup looking at your go tract and a careful dietary history as well
