Get 6-9 hours.: Waking up at 3am, if you need to for some reason, is fine as long as you're getting a total of 6-9 hours of sleep nightly, not counting the nap (which you should try to avoid if possible). Less than 6 hours of sleep nightly can be detrimental to your health and mental acuity.
