You will live :): It isn't bad. Your orthodontist will know better but sometimes, when we deal with teeth that are compromised, we remove them and close the spaces to help the patient with reducing their compromised teeth (or having one less thing to worry about throughout life). removing 4 molars for braces purposes is not that common. Some schools do advocate them though in certain cases.

Depends: Extraction of teeth to create space for orthodontic treatment is not uncommon. Removal of 4 molars, usually, wisdom teeth, or third molars prior to, during or following orthodontic treatment is quite common. In some isolated cases, removal of other molars may be indicated if the molars are badly decayed, or have other problems with them that may compromise or delay treatment.

Not bad: Molars or premolars? On occasion specialist Orthodontists or General Dentist's doing Orthodontic treatment will see the need to remove teeth to aid overall care. Cannot comment on your case without a comprehensive examination. Discuss your concerns with your practitioner, or seek a second opinion with an Orthodontic specialist.

Not Sure: When you say you have braces AND spacers its confusing as well as having to get 4 molars taken out. Do you mean your 4 wisdom teeth molars extracted? Do you really mean 4 premolars need to be removed? Without specifics, its very difficult to answer your question. Many times wisdom teeth are impacted and need to be extracted. Many times, 4 premolars are needed to be removed to straighten the teeth.
