Orthodontic Records: The process of getting your braces will be different depending on the type of orthodontic treatment you are getting. However, before any orthodontic treatment the X-rays, photos and impressions for stone study models of your teeth are done. Your orthodontist will plan your treatment using these records. Good luck.

No: Falls below American Assn of Orthodontists standards. Are you seeing an Orthodontic Specialist or a General Dentist who does braces treatment only part time? Sometimes, however, in straight forward cases pre-treatment diagnostic records may be abbreviated, but not recommended.

Just Got Braces: Hey Jess, That could be normal. The orthodontist and staff could make the rest of their records tomorrow or they might be using a virtual impression, so nothing that you've had done seems out of the realm of possibility at this point. Keep Smilin!
