A member asked:

I am two weeks late, and got a small, light bleeding and minimal cramping. could i be pregnant? 2 neg hpts. always regular cycle.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Blood HCG: If you did the test correctly and it was negative a 2 weeks after a missed period, you are not likely to be pregnant. To be sure, you may get a blood test for HCG level. Menstrual irregularities are not uncommon and anovulatory cycle is a common cause. If you miss more than two periods it would be time to see your doctor. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time. You may consider implanted contraceptive or an IUD.
