A member asked:

6w 4d pregnant with fetal pole, yolk sac ...heartbeat detectd...but seems gestational sac is irregular...sign of miscarriage?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Don't worry: The most important thing is that the fetus has a heartbeat. Did they tell you an actual fetal heart rate? Sometimes the gestational sac looks different. There could be a nearby fibroid or subchorionic hemorrhage. Signs of a miscarriage are uterine cramping and bleeding. If you are not having those symptoms I would not worry about this. The sonogram can be repeated in 1-2 weeks.
