No Antihistamines: Antihistamines (like benadryl, (diphenhydramine) claritin, zyrtec, allegra) interfere with the skin testing performed in clinic to determine what you are allergic to. Your test will not work if you take these close to testing. If nasal allergies are the problem, you can try an over the counter nasal steroid but remember that this take a few days to start improving symptoms.
