A member asked:

My allergies are currently very bad. what do you suggest for relief? i took a benadryl (diphenhydramine) at 10 am eastern time this morning. can i take something now?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: Benadryl (diphenhydramine) can be used minimally every 4 hrs at the correct dose (50mg for adults). Pseudoephedrine (sudafed) can help with stuffy congested noses-obtained behind the counter without a prescription from the pharmacy- or better yet, purchase combination longer acting claritin/zyrtec/allegra - d. Consider nose sprays prescribed by your doctor for allergies.
