Why do the vein on the back of my left hand(near knuckle of middle finger)bulge in only one small spot?it happens on and off.no pain.is it worrisome?

Vein: Veins dilate in association with fluid status. The size of a vein will change in relation to total body fluid, activity of extremity or position of extremity. Pressure on proximal part of vein. As long as the vein does not stay distended should not worry. However if red, tender and firm get checked.
