Ouch: sciatica (pain related to the course and distribution of the sciatic nerve), along with paresthesias (unusual sensations associated with sensory nerves) can be due to muscular inflammation, but might reflect ongoing damage to the nerve itself. Best to consult with your Primary Care practitioner for further evaluation and possibly imaging.
