Multiple symptoms: Although there are many causes for memory loss, some of the more common are depression, hypomania and anxiety. Nervousness, restlessness, talking to yourself, and fidgeting could be in response to anxiety. Generalized anxiety is characterized as excess worry with predominant catastrophic thinking and overestimation of harm. Short-term benzodiazepines and ultimately buspirone/antidepressants work.
